The route begins in the recreational area of Pumares, we cross the road and we go parallel to the river until Pumares, the village of old iron work activity in which we can still observe the remains of an old trip hammer. From here, along with a marked path, leaving the Agüeira River to our left, we continue into a legendary forest characterised by riversides´ species (alders, ash trees, willows and hazel) and oaks and chestnut trees that with their capricious shapes are true monuments. Most of the pathway is guarded by mossy stone walls, with a soft carpet of leaves that cushions our steps.
Already in the Ancadeira, we pass next to several abandoned constructions that show us the importance the place had. We continue crossing the magical and solitary Exiled´s Valley that takes us to a crossing in which we can continue to front as far as the waterfall, seimeira, (about 30 meters fall) or turn left and cross a small bridge that will take us to the town of Busqueimado where we can visit Saint Peters´ Chapel accompanied by two impressive yews listed as a natural monument. The way back will be made by the same path in reverse..
