Route of nature and ethnography that begins next to the House of Culture in Santa Eulalia de Oscos. We leave in the direction of Millarado crossing a wooded area characterised by the presence of oaks, birches and pines, after which we arrive at a farmhouse (Millarado).
Passing by "As Poceiras" we descend the hillside and cross a bridge over the Barcia River that will allow us to ascend to Vega del Carro where we pass next to the Lady of Carmen Chapel, built with stone, wood and slate with the characteristic yew guarding it. In trail between mountains and rivers, we arrive at the confluence of the Villanueva and Barcia Rivers that gives the name to the route.
After crossing the interior road of Los Oscos, submerged in the forest that closes the Villanueva River with the presence of alders, ash trees, willows and hazels, you come to "A Valia", a place of special ethnographic value, the cradle of The Lombardy, who were watchmakers and inventors.
After crossing San Julian and Caraduxe, we arrive at Ferreirela de Riba, where we find the old House of The Lombardy; Continuing on an asphalt road, we leave on the left a small path that leads to Ferreirela de Baxo, where the Marquis de Sargadelos' Birth House Museum is located, a faithful recreation of traditional housing of Los Oscos and the peasant life in the region.
In a few minutes, we will be at the starting point again.
